Using his knowledge of astronomy, and with fearless navigation, David Thompson creates extensively detailed maps of legendary accuracy. In 1814, he delivers his map of Western Canada to the North West Company. He receives little recognition for his work, even though it will be Canada’s most accurate and referenced map for the next 100 years.
